Requirements

To conduct an authentic Mahamrityunjay Puja, specific sacred items are essential for invoking Lord Shiva’s blessings properly. You’ll need a Shivalinga or Lord Shiva’s image, fresh Bel leaves (bilva patra) – which are especially dear to Shiva, Rudraksha beads or mala for chanting, white flowers, particularly Dhatura, pure ghee for the lamp and havan, quality havan samagri including sacred wood, white sandalwood paste, vibhuti (sacred ash), milk, honey, curd, and Gangajal (holy water) for abhishekam. Additionally, arrange for camphor, incense sticks, rice grains, fruits, betel leaves and nuts, and a copper kalash filled with water. For the havan ceremony, you’ll need a proper havan kund and sufficient ghee. Most importantly, keep your birth details ready (name, date, time, place) for the Sankalp ritual.
