Requirements

For authentic Shani Jaap ceremony, specific sacred items aligned with Saturn’s energy must be arranged thoughtfully. You’ll need to provide your complete and accurate birth details – exact date, time, and birthplace – for the crucial personalized Sankalp ritual. The performing pandit requires a Shani Yantra, black or dark blue cloth for the altar, pure black sesame seeds and black urad dal for offerings, iron or steel items, mustard oil or sesame oil for the lamp, blue or black flowers (if available), a black thread, incense sticks (preferably made with sesame oil), camphor, iron ring or horseshoe, and black-colored sweets or til laddu as prasad.
